Module 8 Reflection

Of everything you learned, what do you think will have the biggest impact on student learning?

I feel that the project based learning will have the biggest impact on the students learning. Being able to teach a unit that is integrated with technology, the foss kits, hands on material, and great guided instruction will make the students learning more effective.

Module 7 Reflection

I plan to successfully implement our unit while using effective timing and transitions, collaboration and communication of the project. I will make sure the timing of sections of the unit are focused and on track. The transitions with the use of the technology will also need to be effective so no time is wasted. I will ensure the students are collaborating and learning how to work together to answer the essential questions and use technology in a productive engaging group. I will also make sure the project is introduced correctly and effectively so the students are exciting and ready to learn about the Earth. The essential questions will be communicated using vocabulary words as a focus to make sure the students have a understanding of what the learning will be focuse on for the unit.

Module 6 Reflection

This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation by creating and using accommodations for all learners in my room. When I consider all the different learning modalities of a learner I will loook toward the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. With the use of technology a visual guide to the directions followed with auditory is an important piece of differentiating the instructions.

Module 5 Reflection

This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following way . . .

When the students are able to have a goal and guide line for a unit they are more focused and willing to complete the tasks. Having a rubric and showing a model of final projects and units will allow the students to see that the lesson is valuable, useful, and necessary for the learning to take place.
Once students are able to become self directed in their assessment the lesson can be taken to an even higher level of thinking and learning.

Module 3 Reflection

This module has helped me think about the impact of the Internet on my students’ learning by allowing both students and myself a variteyof resources we can use to learn. I love being able to use Mixbook's to publish our writing stores. Both the parents and studnets are proud of the hard work that is put into writing and publishing our stories.
